1. Bit late to this, but Conte has never been one for creative midfielders in the 3-4-3/ 3-4-2-1 formation, he won the league with Kante and Matic in centre mid (and we came second that year with Dembele and Wanyama there). We'd only need a central playmaker if we went 3-5-2, which Conte hasn't played in England yet (and would mean no space in the first 11 for Kulusevski). The bigger issue is why we haven't sold more dead wood and found an quality right wing back

  2. i have been AWOL from your well reasoned content……(having my off season)……i feel loathe to say this but if we do not sign a CAM another CB (and have we really got the wing backs good enough for AC's preferred set-up ?) then i feel this transfer window will have failed in addressing the obvious needs the team required to utilise the genius that is Conte…he achieved UCL football almost through will-power alone. He has earned the best shot possible at retaining it for next season and of winning a trophy.

  3. Perhaps Maddison is not the player Conte would ordinarily pick, however if he would be an important player for the club to select, I'm sure he would give an okay, right? 😉

  4. Ali Gold has been absolutely tortuous for the last few videos, he literally has absolutely no information whatsoever, and he has absolutely no clue what is happening, for some people his main source used to be Steve Hitchen, one hour video and he reads without looking into the camera what players are saying in different interviews and Tottenham are 2nd most followed club in Korea, and Tottenham took 107 people to Korea, and what Conte has said about ben Davies which we already knew 24 hours ago. he dint know anything about Rodon went to Rennes, parrot to Preston, he couldn't break even 1 concrete piece of information this window. He got popular for breaking transfer news, and not reading what players said in press conferences.

Finally, someone hitting the nail talking about the need for the number 10, while we were winning 5-0 and 4-0, Brighton came to our stadium and suffocate us for 90 minutes and scored and took all 3 points, and surely the answer is Maddison, not zaniolo who looks like a photocopy of kulusevski, infect Dejan looks better, people coming out and saying Hey !! Zaniolo has been chosen by Conte, well I remember Tottenham was interested in him during the time of Mourinho, so this could well be another levys Dream. We are going to get a decent amount of money from winks, le celso, regulion and probably Emerson, that will take our net spend down to almost zero.. Thus no way we can't spend 60 plus on Maddison and a top-class center-back.

I will be extremely interested to know your idea about the possibility of bringing Zaniolo because it doesn't convince me,

  5. Would love to hear your withering assessment on other clubs. Tho I realize it's clickbaity I think it would be hilarious. I realize this is the last thing on the planet you'd entertain. A West Ham fan. I know.

  6. We also need a strong experienced RWB right now, while Spence bulks up and learns how to play in the PL and in Conte's system; meanwhile get rid of Royal (ffs!)and keep Doherty, so we have good depth in that position. Surely Conte can't be really happy with where we are at the moment? I hope Paratici is cooking things up behind the scenes, otherwise we will have trouble reaching our objective (top 4 and a trophy doesn't seem unreasonable!).

  7. And there it is…at 9:46…the name I was waiting to hear. The OBVIOUS name. Indeed, if the entire Summer operation ceased, following the acquisition of James Maddison, fans could delight in the substantiated notion that Spurs had saved the best for last. Without question, Kane would score more goals, probably, Sonny, too. To my mind, the two best homegrown attacking midfielders currently plying their trade in the English game, are James Maddison and James Ward-Prowse. Whilst JW-P takes a brilliant free-kick (take note, Harry Kane,) the overall volume of positive inputs and outcomes generated by JM, make him, in my view, the most important target we could pursue. And, if we could go hard at this and secure the purchase of such a talent, then Leicester might feel less inclined to entertain Arsenal's pursuit of Youri Tielemans – surely a win-win for all fans on the right side of the North London divide.

  8. Tielemans would be a good choice … not keen on Maddison at all … Bentancur looks great imho. Moves the ball fast … and fwd imho .. picks out players well 👌 &, we'll see, but Bissouma is always moving forward fast & laying off good shorter passes… but omho !!

  9. Couldn't agree more. Maddison should have been a target for us a long time ago. I was surprised Levy didn't go for him when he was at Coventry, and he was promising so much. W Could have been one of his "punts" that actually worked! He must be seething! Proven in the EPL, and surely chomping at the bit to get into the World Cup squad, this boy is oven ready. My fear is that there is lots of talk about Conte's head being turned by Zaniolo. I fear that it's one or the other, and I prepare to be corrected further down the line, but surely it has to be Maddison. KIT

  10. I was also of the same thought that creation in Conte teams come from the wingers and wing backs. This is why I was so disappointed our choice of rwb was an English Emerson. With the current team, we definitely need a creative midfielder. Teams are already watchful for Harry Kane. Great Vid!

  11. 100% right again, this has been a good transfer window, but 20 years too late for me to be having a levy poster on my wall. Now is the time too get the dead wood gone aswell.

  12. Good to hear from you again. Plenty of football common sense as usual. I’d rather spent big money on Maddison than the Everton fella. Without doubt. Am sure Emerson and Doherty are still part of Contes plans. We need another signing at CB as well. I fear we are done though. COYS🍀🍀🍀🍀

  13. Now that our club “seems” to be run more properly, we seriously need to replace reporters with access to the club. Like alasdair gold. Every time i come across anything he says i want to throw up. All he wants is for the club (and not the fans) to be happy after reading his meaningless bs and he does it in a way with a iq of a pigeon. We can leave the things about academy players, homegrown, how great the club is being run etc to a junior writer. Really need someone else to replace gold. It’s like watching winks play. I’m sure he’s a nice guy but his level is not good enough for the club. Gold is worse than the arsenal reporters who write propaganda for the club. Not even as smart as them.
