Spot on about the training facilities . More like a SPA day than training which leads to pampering and complacency .
I get it if you have actually won stuff and it’s a training camp which instills the values and ethic of achieving and what that gets you .
Conte is the sort of coach that is more interested in players attitudes , mentality and desire and as long as he’s got that he wouldn’t care where you trained .
I liken it to the fella who turns up on the first tee , Pringled up and a grands worth of clubs who bangs in straight into the bushes off the first tee .
If you look at Melwood for example it’s an old school training ground but the players and manager have achieved so much more than us when we were at a level comparible only a few seasons back .
The good news is we are getting there and Conte is instilling that in us . He has put more DNA into his spurs team in six months than levy has in 20 years .
Long may it continue Antonio
Couldn't agree more with you,our training facilities are I'm sure world class but only as work class as almost every Premier lge side nowadays.we sign mentally weak players over and over and over again because we don't go after winners we go after players who will keep the club exactly where levy wants us to be
Totally agree with the comment about the training facility. It's made some players soft.
Agree with deli ali analogy cos the boy just hasn't adapted his game to any manager apart from Poch. The rest of doom and gloom about Levy and Enic is still Catch 22. I still feel most fans. just want to win something FFS !! All these speculation about players costing X amount of money we know Levy will be looking for the Free transfer 1st . Only hope just is Keep conte sweet cos what he's done in 7/8 months with these players is remarkable..COYS!!
Spot on again 👌
If we’re linked to the Benfica striker for this sort of money, does that mean Kane is on his way? Wouldn’t we be better off strengthening the squad elsewhere?
Harry would love you to ring Levy and tell him what you think of him.
It's old news he came to us they did not want Conte .The changing room is toxic Ranaldo Pogba .why would you want to be Manager their
Biggest thing Spurs have going for us at the moment, in terms of attracting talent, is the man himself; Conte. So Levy has stumbled and fallen in the muck (AGAIN) but has somehow come out with the faint whiff of roses. By some miracle an elite manager was between gigs and actually willing to get involved. BACK HIM LEVY! In the immortal words of Ru Paul “good luck and DON’T f it UP!”
Last game Hugo contribution has huge. Who gives a damn about Man United. As long as Conte stays better for the club. I would love to see Tottenham win something in the near future. 2 or 3 decent players in the summer would be nice. Especially a midfielder(not Erickson) and a quality centre back.
There were rumors of Jack Harisson from Leeds. To be honest with you Mr. Levy he is not the player you need.
Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
Still not convinced that our defence is sorted, you might get a few century breaks but it doesn’t mean you are hitting balls cleanly and they are not rattling in the pockets.
We could and should have conceded 4 or 5 in the first half against Villa, we didn’t and yes it looks good on the results page, but I can’t sign up for improved defending just yet.
We are being very fortunate with injuries and getting away with shoddy defending.
Long May it continue 🤣 COYS!
My friend, as we know, our abilities to make a real impression on competitions next season, will depend on quality incomers. Assuming we arrive in the Champions League, we are back to the same old problem.Even in the Eufa ..same issues..too many games, not enough quality on the bench.
A few key men(or even just the one),get injured and what then?
The chuckle brothers need to get the foldin' out…I won't be holding my breath…
Too much deadwood. Never mind the quality, feel the width.
Over to you , Enic.😏
good thing about modern players, the fact that they would all be boring to go out with,, im 62 but as a 22 year year old this lot be very dull,,,, in the 80s, a night out with any of the spurs team, we would be rat arsed in a night club followed by a bird or a curry or donner, on the way home,, possible exceptions, hoodle, crooks, osie and ricky v, but the rest, it was fridays and sat,,, i saw it week in week out with my own eyes,, who remembers the corbry club opposite the ground?,,,, so,, our run in wont be affected in that way now days,, good for the england team to
We won the Audi cup pre season two summers ago 🤣
COYS
Totally agree on the world class training ground issue, my wife gets the same treatment at her local spa. Feels pampered and all relaxed everytime she visits (bit like our squad sometimes)
Our lot need some old style sessions on a local playground and shipped to games in a transit van.
If you can play you can play, a team is a team. Pretty buildings with nice lighting and atmosphere don't make for a good football outfit.
Granted you need good coaches, good diet and medical professionals but all the other stuff (smoke n mirrors)
Not needed – keep it Tottenham
Has anyone worked out what field Souness is an expert in? Every time Dimitar opens his mouth I dislike him more even as an ex-spurs player. Keep it Tottenham.
Dele "last chance saloon"…I got him 2 miles out of town, falling off his donkey.
With you on the pampered training, get them on a site hod carrying for a week, let em know how good they got it.
Coys
Quality as always Yeti
Perhaps if Dele pocketed his pride and dropped down a league he could tear up the place but I don’t care anymore. Sorry my boy but you had your chance. Time to let someone else have a go.
Harry, what's your view on some of those cynical tackles from AV over the weekend? I thought a few of them, especially the one by Mings on Kulusevski was particularly appalling and dangerous. Glad he was not hurt, but I've seen over the years how such tackles have potential to end someone's career. I blame the ref for not properly controlling the game. Not sure why AV keep playing us like that, remember that rugby tackle by Konsa on Sonny a few years ago and fractured his elbow?
Remember Jimmy Greaves. Often scored a hatrick after downing a bottle of Vodka.
