Agree with you on Sam Field …really intelligent player (by intelligent Iean makes a high % of.coreect decisions) and we haven't got any intelligent players other than Townsend, Kipre, Mowatt and O Shea. Sam Field was arguably our most intelligent but yes…his lack of pace could have been an issue but it wasn't in the games he played… remember Le Tissier had zero pace but was intelligent….yes he's not at Le Tiss' level but Sam wasn't playing against Prem opposition so his intelligence and ability was very good for the level of opposition he was playing against. I prayed he would replace Liverslow but it never happened (A MISTAKE!).
