Whilst Ismael was rightly sacked he is not wholly to blame, we have so much dead wood that needs clearing out these players are as much responsible, and no matter who comes in they will not be successful with this squad…
Since this podcast was released we have appointed Steve Bruce, and the one thing that I find barmy is his aim is to get us promoted THIS season.. WTF Bruce 90% of this squad is the same squad that got us relegated from the prem.. AND in fact the same players that limped to promotion 3 seasons ago, so thats a foolish thing to say..
As a football fan, it's always easy to lay the blame solely on the manager. This might sound strange but do West Brom know who they are? They like most clubs are looking for that formula that will make them successful but also sustainable too.
The club thought let's take the best bits of Barnsley and put it here. It's a gamble/idea that has not worked out. I have said this elsewhere if the off-field ownership/management is not listening or moving in the same direction events like this always happen. As a Forest fan, I know this all too well. (I have the emotional scars)
Good new sack manager Ismael for West Bromwich Albion young a manger West Bromwich Albion big a game come for West Bromwich Albion goodbye The manger Ismael West Bromwich Albion
Sod off val.
Had to happen. Hopefully the new manager had a solid plan. I also hope Dike works out when he is back.
looks like bruce on short term deal
As a Qpr fan, i love Val… He'll be a big miss!!
If I could have given this 3 thumbs up I would!
Steve Bruce will do for me . Not a massive fan but he will certainly tighten things up and organise give the players a kick up the arse.
Shame, but he wouldn't or couldn't adapt formations??? Style was absolutely awful, truly awful… But honestly there is nobody available of note… Farke maybe, Mowbray. NOT Bilic again. Bottom line is NO investment from Chinese thieves means premiership just ain't worth the trouble unless we just rip it apart and start from a new agenda with long-term and consistent INVESTMENT from the academy upto the 1st team! Your thoughts on next manager? COYB:-)
oh and btw..thx Val for your efforts!!
Get nuno santo in lol
Let's remember he's a human being and has a family so let's not let it get personal. Shame it didn't work out. He's a manager early in his career and WBA was too early for him, he needed longer at clubs with expectations in order to learn the hard way that you have to change your ways to suit the type of players you have….don't confuse that with 'changing to keep the players happy'. As a club we couldn't afford to be the guinea pigs of his learning curve. Hopefully he'll learn from the experience and become a better manager. Unquestionably we have underperformed and almost every player was below par under him. We need to go and attack that playoff place and grab it with both hands….NOT play every game in fear of losing it. Diangana MUST PLAY!!! The play must be based around him and Townsend running at defenders….thats what made us dangerous before (albeit with Pereira too). Still need an attacking midfielder but why not let Hickman or Diangana become that man!!!
Hi Mike Bilston staunch Albion supporter while the fans have got what they wanted now the only problem is if you are looking at a manager that is how to work at the moment and they are near enough all premiership managers it speaks volumes to me we want to get there but the managers that are out there who are not in the job have all managed in the premiership That tells me they can’t manage in the premiership because if they could I wouldn’t be out of a job so what chance has someone X premiership manager got to get us promoted when they couldn’t do it themselves when they were managing at a premiership club I’d like to hear what other Albion fans say about the comments that I’ve made
Who's in next ?
Could of bought himself a lot more time if he hadn’t been so stubborn
