It was an opportunity missed for both Chelsea and Tottenham at the weekend as the London rivals and Premier League title contenders played out a scoreless draw. Did we learn anything of value from the goalless clash? ESPN FC’s Steve Nicol and Stewart Robson evaluate the approaches of Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho as they remain separated by only two points, with Spurs level on points at the top of the table with Liverpool.

The giroud comment aged well
This guy thinks giroud is terrible well 3 days later he scored 4 goals in one game Mate
Dont forget to dislike the video
Giroud not athletic enough and not good in the air….I hope this guy watched chelsea vs Sevilla last night ?
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO "BLUE PRIDE FOOTBALL"
Tammy is not a Chelsea type of player! Still too far from the standard. We need someone like Diego Costa.
How did Lampard come out ahead when the draw means that Mourinho remains top? He needed a win and failed.
I can tell Stevie has been hitting the drink. They shouldn’t let them talk half inebriated.
Wow this video aged well lol ?
The more i listen to these guys the more i realize how litle they know about football. Giroud is not Good in the air? Please get a new job
Nobody's got the edge it's a draw
Such bollocks. Tammy is only playing because Pulisic was injured. Frank doesn't intentionally want to play with a tall holding striker. Pundits really need to watch games.
Oh, I forgot, only Pep is a tactical genius. Mourinho isnt allowed to be a genius, according to ESPN FC.
Draw fair result Chelsea better team second half lot of possession other stats bookings Chelsea 4.2 fouls 20.8
Little hopeful spuds remind me of feisty Nottingham Forrest. All talks, balloons inside. Keep it up you little fellas, you lot make this premier league interesting.
Come out a head with 1 point at home? Suck pundits…
I dont agree with those Abraham statements. He is good player, but he has issues with crosses and getting at the end of them. But otherwise he is great in other areas – he won the ball before offside goal and passed it to Mount. He helped to create several chances for his teammates in previous matches. He makes those runs, where he can link up with other players through middle.
The issue is that only 2 players having decent day going forward were Mount and James. Ziyech didnt create pretty much anything. There was Kovacic, who had good game defensivelly, but offers almost nothing going forward. Werner is again not creating force, more of a finisher or linkup player. If those players cant create chances, striker will have problems.
the bias for chelsea and anti mourinho is really showing now lads
Jose's downfall in recent years has been hitting his 'key indicators' which means at all costs not losing against Ole .. Lamps .. Pep, he might get a result today but its been shown that the team loses confidence going forward. Rigid, safe .. 90 mins of plugging holes in your defence. Good result but there are teams/managers who have found a better way.
Don't miss it. New Universal Studios Movie 'I hate Mourinho' starring Steve Nichols. Got to give it to the guy though. Even if they beat anyone 10-0 he will find a way to say Mourinho is defensive. 10 points for creativity.
Yeah… Lampard came just ahead of Jose in Chelsea vs spurs match. But spurs are just ahead of Chelsea in the table though?
Legit thought my man Lampard broke the news that he was gay and Jose followed suit.
I need a break from the internet.
None of these guys have won 25 trophies thats a fact. 25 trophies dude..?
Came out ahead but got nothing
Well going by previous punditry, given how much Lamp's spent, he ought to win something…
Puli, Havertz, Werner, and Ziyech haven't played that much together because they've never all been fully fit for a run of games. poor analysis
Truth be told, Spurs are a major injury to a key player away from misery. Lo Celso, Lamela, Dele, Bale and Moura have to be on fire to take pressure off Son considering Vinicius can be a sub for Kane. Lampard has to ask himself why he couldn't beat Spurs with an abundance of riches on the pitch and the bench. These guys should be a little objective even if they dislike Jose who technically has a thin squad
