Don't Do It, Don Paratici! The transfer Tottenham Hotspur ought NOT make this summer

Is Dusan Vlahovic the striker that Tottenham needs? Is the Serbian a goal-scoring turn-on or a tap-in merchant?!

  1. What was his name about 10 years ago “Soldado” if he had scored 1/3 of chances he missed Tottenham would have won the league 2-3 times. Agree finishing in EPL is something else.

  2. I’ve been watching Dusan for a while and if I’m honest he is incredible. He’s better than Kane was at that age. In 2/3 years he will be worth £100 mill easy.

He’s not only a good striker, he’s strong, can carry the ball and makes great passes. Last season it all started to come together for him. He’s got stronger and stronger. He will score amazing goals in time but right now he has a lethal nose for goal and an understanding of where to be at the right time, that’s exactly what you want from a real number 9.

Is there another striker out there right now with his potential?

He’d be ideal to Play in the centre with son and moura either side of him. He is a target man, without Kane we don’t have that.

You won’t complain about someone knocking in 21 tap ins.

Are you imagining spurs are out there looking for someone who scores 25 yard volley’s? Is that what would make you happy, you want spurs to find someone who does what Harry Kane does??? Not possible. Plus we are spurs we came 7th last season, your turning your nose up to a highly rated young goal poacher, that is insane.

  3. I kinda agree with you that this is alot of money to pay for a 21 year old that has had a break through season. Could he make it in the premiership and score goals, god only knows. You pay your money you make your choice. Whether this is the right choice I have my doubts especially with the kind of money there asking for the boy. If the value was sensible and around the 20 million mark id say take a punt. I mean we're taking a punt of Bryan Gil albeit a different position. But to be laying 50 million plus for this fella is unrealistic. He has no decent pedigree. I would of preferred going for Danny Ings! We need a striker, like we need a midfielder like we need another centre half. I'm not sure what we're going to get through the doors but I don't see much more coming in. I hope this spending doesnt stop here, we need some more depth but not just buying Carlos Kickaball for the sake of it.

  4. I just watched a video on Dusan Vlahovic skills and goals from 2021. Video is about three months old. I have to say from what I saw, and it was fairly extensive, this guy is not tap in artist. A lot of his goals may be within the 18 yard box but it is usually because he was running into the box with the ball or getting into position to receive a pass or look for a loose ball. He tackles well and fights for the ball determinedly. Seems to take a good penalty. He isn’t a lazy, wait for something to happen type of player from what I observed. I wouldn’t be sorry to see him at Spurs. Did I mention he also is quite quick.

  5. There is always a place for a player who can get in the dirty areas and bag a greasy goal when we are up against it. But not for the sort of money that Fiorentina are asking Spurs to pay for this lad.

  6. Problem is, its getting a bit late in the day to be looking at other targets if Kane goes. Would be interested to see where someone like Vardy or Ings score most of their goals. If Kane goes then we might find a playing style that suits a fox in the box. 4-2-3-1with Son, Moura, Dele behind Vlahovic might be decent.

  7. What if Harry doesn’t want to move at all and Micky mouse and the media have came up with an evil plan and are trying to push out Harry. Every footballer wants to play for there boyhood club scoring goals each week at there home ground lol a fox in the box my bollox

  8. Wouldn’t even bother with this player. What’s wrong with playing scarlet. This is Micky mouse levy playing games again as we all know his gonna buckle and sell Harry and by paying this silly price it will be like giving candy to a crying child to keep him quite

  9. He might score a lot of tap ins, but that map isn't showing the work he does in the build ups or the runs he's making. From what I've seen of him he looks several classes above both Jansen and Vinicious.

  10. dusan provides stability upfront, player who can fight long ball…one element we lacked in a game against city. indeed he is young but he has the quality spurs need after losing kane. coys.

  11. I agree the price is high for him taking into account the league & amount of goals he has scored. But, I’ve watched a bit of Série A and he does provide more than just goals. He’s very strong & does bring other into play etc. A like for like replacement of Kane he is not.. but it must be said about being in box for all his goals last year. being in the right place at the right time is important for a striker! I think he has all the attributes to succeed in the Premier League, just think the valuation is Sky high..

  12. Vlahovic is overrated he should prove himself first by winning SerieA for Fiorentina not middle of the table club probably he's worth like € 30million €

  13. Two observations I made when I saw him last year was that he was very awkward at times and his fitness didn't look great in the second half. I think he's too slow and not athletic enough for the Premier league. Even though he's quite big I'm not convinced he'll get the same joy in a fast league against more athletic defenders, las he does in a slower league against defenders who want to beat him at his own game. Ie. being awkward at close quarters.

  14. I do believe he is to be a partner up-front (ideally). Why he is liked is that he is quick and strong and it is believed he would have a chance of making it in the PL. Being 21, he will hold value and can develop. He knows where the goal is so should be fairly reliable for sharing the burden with Kane or A N Other. If we sold Kane, we would want him and Martinez, but that is probably not happening… Not that many good strikers for sale at the moment. A rare breed it seems (which is partly why Kane is such high value).

  15. I do not agree with your assessment that he is a tap in merchant there are plenty of videos of him showing pace and power combined with goals scored from outside the box or him powering into the box to get on the end of a through ball or cross 🙂

  16. Vlahovic is Top Draw & I have it from friends in Italy who genuinely know football. In my opinion he's exactly what we need.
Call me old fashioned, but strikers need to score & Defenders need to know how to defend
Contrarily I get worried when I hear us linked with players who can play in a "number of positions", they usually end up being crap, Jack of all trades, Master of None
