I know this would never happen but how about giving the managing director of football a budget to work with that he can invest however he sees fit and can be added to with sales that once again can be used however is needed. Then the two sides of the business can be run by individuals who are experts in their respected field. Unfortunately we employ experts at huge cost and all the good work that they do is all undone by the man at the top who is a control freak and has no intrest in Spurs being a winning team, more interested in Guns and Roses playing at the stadium

13. I’ll respectfully disagree in part. Unfortunately for us Daniel Levy does know exactly what he is doing. His metrics for success are purely financial and by that measure he is doing very well indeed for himself and Old Uncle Joe. As supporters we have different metrics – an occasional trophy (or at least competing for one) or even just being entertained by the football now and again – but so what? Levy couldn’t care less about that because the tills keep ringing and the TV money keeps rolling in and the property portfolio keeps expanding. He’s getting exactly what he wants from THFC – he’s getting richer. That’s what he’s here for, not trophies.

17. I think Conte proved to be his own worst enemy with his 9 game unbeaten run. Levy/Lewis would then have questioned why they need to spend their dollars on new players as the current ones were performing well. Instead they decided to concrete over another acre of Haringey with their latest housing development. The deadwood players, who only turn up when they need to save their job, then realised they were safe and reverted to type. The warm weather players were then shipped back home, to immediately perform how they had before we signed them or when they were wearing their international shirts. The chances of 4, 5, 6 or 7 loses in a row is definitely a possibility and by then we will find Ryan Mason back in charge. It is sad because when I began supporting this great club in 1961, we won the league, three FA Cups and a European Trophy in my first 6 years standing on The Shelf. I suspect I shant be around long enough to see such days return.

21. The Y-Word statement by the club was meant to be a distraction. Levy failed at acquiring Luis Diaz and instead brought in Axel Rose. If management cared about being politically correct they would not host Guns N Roses. Some people have justifiably opined that the song "One in a Million" was basically hate speech with an acoustic guitar—full of derogatory racist, homophobic, and xenophobic slurs. Other songs humorously depicted violence against women, "I Used To Love Her (but I had to kill her)" while others glorify heroine and cocaine use. And yet Levy and company are running banner ads alongside the pitch in every home game about the upcoming Guns N F@cking Roses concert.
    I've had enough b.s. The club needs to be sold.

22. I like what Conte said but this fanbase hypocrisy is in full flow. When a certain manager said there is problem at the club he was called toxic, throwing people under the bus but for Conte it's called honesty. This fanbase is hilarious.

24. Betancur will soon be 25. He's won a couple of Serie A title medals with Juventus. If he's considered a prospect now when does Conte expect him to be "ready to go" and how long will he be at that level?

25. Just read the JC article. I really want to comment on that. Before I do I have to state that my best friend is Jewish, he has served in the Israeli military and is very pro-Israel. I object strongly to Israeli policy in Gaza and the West Bank. Unlike the Holocaust foundation, which states that criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic, my friend and I discuss our views openly, accept a critical discourse and respect that each of us takes a different position on the subject. I believe that my friend would forcefully defend me against any charge of being anti-Semitic. There, I have to state this upfront, sad but true, because of what I am going to say next.

    The JC article appears to be balanced and rational but it falls flat on its face when it cites Jeremy Corbyn and the anti-Semitism row he was dragged into. I met Jeremy in his constituency office in 2006 and recorded an hour interview with the man. As an historian, I have recorded many interviews with politicians and peers of the realm. I had periods in my life when I was in and out of the Palace of Westminster several times a week.

    My conclusion on Corbyn, bearing in mind I am a card-carrying Conservative Party member, was that he was the most genuine politician I had ever met. A truly decent man was what I found in his office no matter how much I disagree with his politics. When he became leader of the Labour Party I knew that there was no way on Earth that he would ever walk into 10 Downing Street. The reason being that his well documented pro-Palestinian views would never be allowed to sit at the head of a British cabinet.

    The campaign against him for being an anti-Semite was as cooked up a scandal as it was possible to create in my opinion. The Jewish MPs who campaigned against him were all dyed in the wool uncritical supporters of Israel in my opinion.

    Resting an argument about the use of the word Yid on a claim of rising anti-Semticism started by Corbyn is a spurious claim in my opinion. If we are going to discuss the use of this word then we must be careful not to allow ourselves to be dragged into questionable agendas along the way.

    My best friend lost many relatives in Auschwitz as his family came from Poland. He feels his Jewishness with every fibre of his being. He is a Spurs fan. He is unconcerned about the word Yid at Spurs. However, if anyone tried to use it as a racist slur against him the only outcome we would have to bet on was whether he used Karate, Judo, Jujitsu or Krav Maga, (all of which he has well beyond teaching master level) to impress on the miscreant the error of his ways. We still argue and discuss Israel because we are friends and we both know each other to be good men of sound heart. We need good folk of sound heart and keen intelligence to have this debate about the word Yid and we may end up disagreeing but don't call me a racist for the views I hold on these matters. Certainly, don't try and use Corbyn as a club to get your own way.

27. We have a stadium that is built for 63,000 fans for every PL game. We're dipping now to close to 10,000 below that. Let alone the pitiful crowds we were getting in the cup competitions. I fear next season will see this escalate further. Spurs fans really have had enough.

32. I have to come back to the point that, tragically, THFC is not a serious football club and you don't need religious scholars (loved that) to work this out. Everything you are saying 'H' is very, very simple to understand. You are not talking rocket science here. THFC is exactly what it says on the ENIC tin: "Tavistock Group is an international private investment family office that is comprised of a trading operation and a portfolio of public investments and private companies. These investments are concentrated in nine primary sectors, including: real estate, hotels, restaurants, sports, energy, retail, biotechnology, agriculture, and finance." We are not a football club, we are a private investment family office. So frankly, none of what Conte says really matters. He will leave the club soon or Levy will sack him for speaking out of turn (as he sees it) because Antonio does not realise that he is not working for a serious football club but a family office operation focused on share values and balance sheet assets. Arguments about who said what, when, where and why in the media are just the way some people get a salary paid into their bank accounts.
