  3. Last season we looked lightweight up front, this season we have a big strong striker. None of the two really worked and our attack is always an issue. I guess we should be looking for someone in the mold of (prime) Cavani or Suarez who have a strong presence up front but is also constantly on the move pressing opponents or finding pockets. But who has that profile at present….

Nini i look at how Plymouth plays….why doesnt Lukaku give 110%… why dont a get the feeling that the modern day player has that childlike love to play with everything he has every second … its a shame that Lukaku could see what tammy and Geroud did for the team on and off the pitch last season , that mindset (tuchel might have been a liitle spoilt with that kind of mentality on the bench)

  9. I can blame a formation for holding back a player when we are up against equal or at least relatively close opposition, but this was a League One side. Lukaku either needs to find a way to do more or we need to give Kai and Timo an opportunity.

  11. I like malang. If we can keep Rudiger and thiago for another year or 2. Sarr and chalobah are learning from he best and I feel like malang will in a season or 2 look like a real deal.   15. When u create 42 chances, hit the post 4 times, 20 corners n can not score. That is NOT the team system ( which changed 2-3 times btw) , that is a finishing problem n ..making excuses for below par individual performances by our strikers

  17. This game proves to me what I’ve been saying for the past few months. There is individual quality in many these English teams. Instead of us looking for multi-million dollar signings elsewhere, I am confident CHELSEA can scout replacements from lower level English teams for a fraction of the cost they would from big int’l clubs… the way Plymouth defended and was organized …… throwing their bodies on the line …… quality…

You kept going on and on saying that the reason our attack was bad because the system didn’t favor the attackers..today they looked worse..only ziyech and mount played well and mount plays well even in a 3 at the back system..I need to know your take on this seeing that we’ve switched the formation for about four games and the attack performs the same…

  39. Chelsea played 41 shots on & off target and got only 2 goals. It shows how wasteful our attackers are right now. Man City had 19 shots on target and got 4 goals. It speaks the difference btw the two teams in goal finishing. Hudson-Odoi is so predictable. Kovacic doesn't get into the box enough to provide overlapping threat from central areas.

    Our best team needs to consist of Havertz, Mount, Ziyech and Kante.
