I’m in no doubt Tuchel wants 4-3-3 next year so is looking for wider players than we have on our staff but if you ask me Ziyech can play one side so we are not too bad off than people think , we have the double 8s on overload we do need Kounde agreed to make it work but believe me Sterling or Dembele are not the answer both mercenaries not buying into the cause they are both self centred .

  31. Chelsea being a company run by Russian thought as f recently, will need to be converted to American systems and processes to run the way the new owners will want. This change may need a full year to implement. So let us not expect a great transfer window this summer. TT will have to again raise a set of midtable quality players to the top.   32. I really don't understand why people care about a number on a shirt, we have been so americanised.
    Shirts didn't have numbers at all until 1928 (first used by Arsenal) and it was just 1 to 11 the number 14 didn't even exist as that level of subs didn't come in until the 1980's. As for squad numbers they didn't come in until 1993-4 so until then a player could be number 7 one week number 9 the next depending on the position they played, so the really important numbers (if anyone cares are 1-11) fell to players like Best and Brady number 7's as it was a position.
    The whole notion that a number above 11 is iconic is bordering on nonsense, less than 30 years of history, but I appreciate we have had in Henry a legitimate legend, so we either adopt the American system of retiring a number (if we decide to retire shirts 1-11 at most clubs should already be retired, if a new star comes in how can they be the player to retire say 7 at Man u when Best already wore the shirt) or we really appreciate it's just a number on a shirt, football isn't basketball.
    To say it's a marketing ploy by Arsenal, well if it is it's a bad one, if you want to sell shirts the number and big name in player matches if anyone buys the number 14 shirt purely for the number then a fool and their money are easily parted.
    If Eddie gets pride from wearing the number that's a different story and good luck to him, anyone getting upset really need to look at their priorities.
