4. The amount spent isn't the issue. It's signing the right players. We don't need 400 mil. It's the way we waste money that worries me. When we have spent big in the past we have got it wrong.

8. Levy will not back Conte. He will use the old "we tried but talks broke down" line. As for Levy being a good business man he isn't. He has a team of advisers. If he was so astute where is the good business I not backing a manager to keep us in top 4 and getting CL revenue.

   My heart is ruling my head at the moment and I feel a teeny-weeny bit of optimism that Levy has had a wake up call. I really don’t see Conte as the type of guy who will accept having to ‘make do and mend’. This next transfer window will signal whether any optimism is warranted. It will become apparent whether or not the club is serious in its transfer business at long last. I’m not expecting a complete transformation of the team in January but the club needs to signal its intent with who comes in and, just as importantly, who goes out.

For instance would he consider Jesse Lingard, who Man U will probably want to offload in January to recoup a bit of cash? All the Levy backers should listen to a genuine THFC fan like Hoddle, then they might find it easier to grasp that the one and only metric at ENIC FC is a positive balance sheet. KIT COYS

29. Have to add something else to this section. What we have here is a spot-on analysis of what our problem is. Now that's about data, that's about due diligence, that's about expert opinion. However, as we know (wherever we look), the word expert is ill-defined and the people claiming such titles are mostly found out to be also ill-defined. The job is to connect a real expert and forgive me here, with a powerful mythology.

33. 100% correct again. I’m. Fed up hearing Levy’s buying for the future mantra along with buy cheap players with potential. As soon as we do find the odd “star” we sell them to our rivals rather than keep them and then add more players to build a title winning team. If Enid don’t back Conte he will walk.
