1. Much better performance, and the line up was batter. Skipp isn't good enough, and NDombele is still questionable. As far as I am concerned, Dele has had his day

  2. I got involved with an ENIC out campaign when Levy tried to take us to East London. Out of my own pocket I bought a 1000 balloons that read "Say No To Stratford". It failed miserably, and if Levy had had his own way, we would now be East London based

  3. i love the way this guy (The Footballing Genius) and Alasdair Gold can not only be at the same game but watch it as well and then give totally different analysis of it !!!

  4. Brilliant facts as ever mate. We just need to keep with this 4-2-3-1 on a more consistent basis as we are more balanced which showed against Aston Villa , although I still feel we need to play a lot better if we want to finish in top 6 or pick up a cup as we still give the ball away a lot. If it was not for Son's goals and assists contribution Nuno would be gone and we would be in massive trouble struggling in the bottom 3 and this is with Kane in the team. I am sure if the service to Kane starts improving he will bang in goals as usual. With Lucas Moura, I like the energy he brings to the team but his product is not good enough and he is a better off on the bench as an impact player. Funny moment between Son and Moura for the second goal, looks like they have divorced, lol. I look forward to your next video.

  5. Hi, big fan of the show. As a suggestion i would be keen to understand individual numbers across same formations. i.e. reggies passing numbers improved dramatically against villa because he had an actual midfield in front of him than some massive space like Arsenal not because it was a lesser team. Keen to hear your thoughts if we are now to keep to a 4-2-3-1 (which we should of never abandoned) who would be your first choice no.10? IMO i would be keen to see Lo Celso have a run of games in that role. Seems his natural position.

  6. we beat city….we lost to the european champions,we had a bad day at the office in the derby and with a severly depleted squad we got undone at palace….but you a pessimist and as a spurs man you suck

  7. I think the game was a reflection of where we are in that we just had one or two top top players. At the end of the day there are six clubs better than us possibly more if the players can't be a***d but winning a trophy forget it. COYS

  8. I do not care about Dier's good stats because he was at fault for Villa's goal where he could have slide in to prevent the tap in instead of lifting his hand and hoping for an offside call. He is hit and miss as well, where he can be solid and then have a stupid moment. Has to do better

  9. I think it's fair to get, whilst perhaps not excited, maybe mildly enthused by an improvement in the performance. Excitement will be reserved for when we manage this "watchable" level of football for at least 3 games in a row (Premiership games at that).

  10. Do you watch the games? Skipp was great. Saved a near goal and was progressing the ball really well. Stats arent everything, otherwise youd watch football from a birds eye view like Football Manager. use your eyes.

  11. Be a bit more positive, at the end of the day we won (in a positive manner too).

Hopefully we go to Newcastle with this team:

    ——————————Lloris————————–
    Emerson—-Tanganga—-Romero—–Reggie
    ————-Hojbjerg————-Skipp——————
    —–Lucas———Lo Celso——–Gil—————–
    —————————Son———————————-

  12. One thing I would say – the stats do not tell the full story. I have to disagree with the assessment of Skipp – he was definitely good in this game and made a massive difference. There are no stats to support this because the contributions are less tangible. It's a bit like when Kane takes defenders away to allow others to score – not really a stat unless you have someone counting it as a stat.

Remember, statistics are like a bikini: what they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital.

  13. Not saying i'm at the tinfoil hat stage but after watching our last few PL matches i've noticed times when Kane as ran into decent positions and other players around him seem to either be reluctant or unwilling to take the pass to him.. I found it strange almost telling.

  14. Harry is done. Always love what he did with us. Want to cherish the memories and not have it turn to poison so now is the time to move on. The stats and his body language and performances say it all.

  15. Assessment from a man in west upper….

Loris- all villa had was a long throw all day but didn’t collect one of them, that said didn’t let us down.
Regi- gave the ball away constantly, didn’t use the huge expanse of wing available to him to push on
Dier- appeared to have a solid game but on review looks at fault for the goal- have a look people doing the shield the ball thing again and conceding
Romero- i thought he did ok, flapped a couple of times but looked like he may go on to be better-
Emerson- defensive positioning appeared good, going forward he appears to have little
Hjoiberg- great performance- skipper material on that performance
Skipp – lost or gave the ball away a lot, has a place in squad but not with Hjoiberg, cant see a pass other than backwards
Ndombele- I had him hooked after 15, constantly blowing out of his arse, looks unfit, uninterested and gave the ball away
Lucas- does what he always does……were waiting for the magic will it come….here it comes….oh perhaps next time
Son- MOTM by far, worked his socks off and created chances despite poor service
Kane- Harry who- not interested running at 75% and looks not bothered. Had at least 3 chances he would have buried last year.

3 things really stood out, gave the ball away a lot, were like a donut ….nothing in the middle we and didn’t push the full backs on at all to overload Villa…. Who didn’t turn up at all

Still not inspired and a long way from where we were in 2016, but 2 positives….

Found Dele’s best position (on bench)

And i taught my dog to play the trumpet on the tube, went from Barking to tooting in less than an hour

    Keep it Tottenham!!!

  16. Some fun for you, Harry, from Villa fans podcast: "Ndombele & Hojbjerg dominated midfield." and "Didn’t think we played that bad. Spurs just have that extra bit of class in their squad the top 4 always have. Son was unplayable and they kept getting behind our defence going over the top and through balls." Love to see what the other team thinks.

  17. The team is a work in progress this season unfortunately as you describe the performance of the team. I believe the difference in having a chance to reach a top 6 finish will be an active January transfer window. Whether that includes Kane (I doubt) is not as important as shipping out some deadwood (Dele, Winks, etc.) and obtaining a few dynamic position players who can shore up the weaknesses in the starting 11 and the bench. As far as Kane, he needs better service to make the quality goals that he is noted for in previous seasons…..he is not just a tap in striker. Most teams are playing him very tight often with two players if he comes anywhere the penalty area hence his drifting away to create some space to receive a pass. We definitely miss a playmaker like Eriksen who was a threat to pass or score. If the transfer window comes and goes without much activity then any European competition would appear to be a stretch goal, even the junior tournament we are now playing in at the moment.

  18. Decent overall performance. Royal not great but maybe starting to adjust to the league and team a bit. Reguilon, Skipp, Tanguy, and Kane our worst performers. Skipp perhaps hamstrung by the early, stupid yellow but not a great performance from him nonetheless. I'd prefer to see Lo Celso starting with Tanguy coming on for the last 15-30 rather than the reverse, but otherwise, this is probably the lineup and shape we ought to be going with when possible. Dier vs Sanchez or Rodon partnering Romero is a toss-up for me. At this point, I'd just like to see some contiuity in the CB pairing and it has to include Romero.

  19. Great chat again mate.
These Pandora Papers might help shed some light on Lewis's off shore holdings and more importantly how the money is being siphoned out of the Lane.
I know it's legal but these parasites need total exposure, that way some of the blind fans may see what's really going on.
    Coys

  20. Dele should not get back in the team. As for Royal, he still looks a bit cagey but hopefully his confidence will improve with time. He got into good positions going forward.

  21. Probably the only time when selling our best player would have benefited the club we hang on to them… Once again you've made a great decision levy….

  22. I thought Nuno contract clause with Levy was a fake news. I did read it on twitter too about it. But someone mentioned it fake. Nice insights. Very true about Kane. Anyone will be heartbroken with what happened in summer, losing Carabao Cup final again, No More Jose Mourinho in the camp. Nuno can't be Jose. He made Harry Kane improve his potential. Now he just want to leave Tottenham but Levy won't let him go.
    Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur 🦢🦢🦢🦢

  23. Whilst I understand your point when it comes to protest, I had a sadly depressing discussion with somebody in the stadium on Sunday ( yes I have a season ticket but have serious doubts whether I will continue). So the guy behind me got his season ticket this season. He was 68,000 and something in the list. What this suggests is that a significant number of season ticket holders did not renew their tickets if we use the metric that seasonal churn is approx 10-15%. However regardless of what is happening off the pitch there are still people willing to take advantage of the situation to get their season tickets where previously they didn’t have a hope in hell. So will Levy really put attention if this is symptomatic of the overall picture? Either way it will probably take ages to really hit ENIC hard in their pockets. Depressing really

  24. Love the reports cards!!👏

Nuno wants to get the most out of Kane. Pull him at 60 mins when he's been sluggish. (Ideally when we have everyone fit) we have historically played well with our fast 3-4 up front with Son in the middle. Anyway that will wake him up.

And the 10 should be full fledged competition between Tanguay and GIO .

Would like to see Dele play his only suitable role –behind Kane.. He's almost the backup striker we've never had but won't try either. At least that's what he was under Poch – a striker. Not midfield grafter..

  25. Overall an improvement, something positive. Nuno top 6 this season , will be delighted if he does, we are lightweight in so many positions. Getting away results , Newcastle potential banana skin. Levy all or nothing contract, hardly inspiring for managers to want to build a legacy. Against Palace all the problems about not being press proof on show, against Bruceball FC cannot afford to be anything but front foot attacking. Brighton and Brentford ,this seasons underdog darlings to overcome, before current youngsters seen to be up to scratch . Christmas Santos little helpers transfer window will show any ambition to allow anything but another under funded turkey,no trimmings season.

  26. im quite happy nuno didnt do a press interview,, i find him awkward uninspiring, and he gives me the creeps, his manor, after a defeat is quite embarrassing, goes into a coma,, then like a excited school boy after a win,, i cant see harry being motivated bu him after poch and jose, he obviously respected them,, how does harry keep getting up for it, he sees average or cheap signings, manager changes, and a chairman like levy,, could you go out highly motivated? if you was harry,? he giving is all, but the spark isnt there,,

  27. Painfully obvious that we need a 10 and another midfielder that can carry the ball and be influential because as much as Moura has a great engine he’s a terrible passer and doesn’t understand how to let things develop, also didn’t think him and Ndombele linked up well. I don’t know what game people watched to say Sonny had a 10/10 performance. He wasn’t great in that first half albeit he got an assist but up to his standards should’ve had a few goals that he nerfed out of the stadium, also fluffed that goal from Kane’s pass at point blank range in front of goal. Kane at this point.. it is what it is even though He played well and should’ve had a few assist if not for wasteful Son and Lo Celso. Thought Hojbjerg and Skipp were decent, they’re both slow and easy to dribble around and Skipp has the proclivity to be muscled out of the way too often I see. We gave the ball away too much, we had no control over that game at no point. If that was a better team they would smoked us by a few goals, and if this is the way we’re going to play then 10th or 12th place finish is the best we’re gonna get.

  28. Your take on how Kane appears is bang on I feel. Aside from getting a hypnotist to put a band aid on his subconscious I'm not sure what can be done. My original hope was that his hunger for Shearer's record would supersede the what could have been feeling and he would still produce. What do I know?
