  1. The real reason is feminists protested for this after womens football gave yellow cards for taking off a shirt because parents complained that their kids shouldn't see a shirtless woman when watching football after the womens world cup final between usa and china

  2. Fun fact your wrong in 1999 or 2000 a USA female soccer player scored a goal and took off her shirt showing her pads well a religion didn’t like it they said that she was reveling too much to her kids so FIFA banned it from women’s soccer but women protested because men were allowed so in 2004 FIFA banned it from all soccer celebrations

  3. I think lifting your shirt to reveal an undershirt saying something like "For my son *insert name*" is totally cool….. or political messages as long as they arent like gross ideologically like antisemitism or racism

  4. I'm sorry, but most celebration take longer then someone removing their shirt just to celebrate and put it back one. They can start putting it on as they are walking back to their side of the pitch. Also now we have var for "mistaken identity " and alot of situation where you can't identify the player is Normally down to fighting, which sometimes u can't as been seen before with refs giving yellow cards to wrong players or not to others who did something worse.

  5. Why are they so worried about people supporting political messages when the PL is all about rainbow laces and no room for racism. But they are telling me I can’t show support for pro life? The world we live in is a mess…

  6. Controversial opinion but I somewhat like the rule because it gives a player a way to express more emotion. Like I'm so happy that I'm going to get a yellow card just to express how happy I am right now

  7. Actually in 1999 the women's world cup a player from usa celebrated her cup winning penalty with taking her shirt off and then many religious people said it was a bad behavior and fifa banned female footballers from taking their shirt off and then feminist start a protest about why men players can do it and fifa made same rule for men in 2002

  8. All these arguments are rediculous. Nobody actually cared about players "provoking" with such a celebration. No one felt provoked. Ever.
If you want to spread "political messages" you have way more options than hiding them under your shirt. And it's not even forbidden to lift the shirt a tiny bit to show a potential message underneath, so that's definitely not the reason.
In a time when it's common to play 12 or 15 or more minutes extra (especially since VARs) that seems like a poor argument. How would it waste more time if I put on my shirt while on my way back to my position before the restart of the game? I don't think that ever wasted even one second.
And lastly, I'm pretty sure that you can figure out who is who with all the cameras and the players being pretty famous. Someone on the planet will figure out who scored the goal eventually.

No, the sponsorship not being displayed in the most replayed and most wide-spread moment of a match is not just a "minor factor". It is the only true reason. All the other excuses are just brought up to distract from the real motivation.
And that's fine. Sponsors want to be shown during the celebrations. Just be honest about it…

  9. It’s all false information ℹ️
They did it Since CR7 moved to Manchester United and R9 was at Real Madrid.
    The referees couldn’t distinguish
